Lammy usually comes from Spain and Portugal. It is widely used for casual and country gloves and mittens. It is very warm in cold weather and has its own natural wool lining from the wool of the sheep. The demand for products with this coat is very high, resulting in a higher price range.
The finest inverted lambskin comes from New Zealand. This is often referred to as slender lambskin. These skins are only used for the most expensive reverse lambskin gloves.
For gloves, a heavier and firmer skin is also used, sheepskin, also often called shearling.
